"A coffee shop that makes a good coffee and offers seating without rushing it. very attentive efficient service. if they want only a coffee or a coffee and a snack, this is the place to go. here is a traditional coffee shop for relaxing and enjoying a good cup coffee without eating a meal when they do not need it. thanks to the staff."

"I would have liked to give this nice looking pub a review, but sadly did not get that far as the hostility of the woman who greeted me with a surly you have to wear a mask before entering (top tip, I know, I was...about to put my mask on and....how about a hi, how are you? No chance with Ms Grumpy. I don't want to get into a long one here and i know pubs are finding it difficult, but COVID or no virus you need to look out for your customers. This young woman was surly and rude to the point of being offensive. I was made to feel exceptionally unwelcome. So I left while she was pouring the pint of Guinness I was actually looking forward to drinking and popped to the Greys, which is immediately opposite and is SO much friendlier. This goose has been cooked. I'm a Greys man every time in future"

"Brighton was lacking in decent Indian food before Curry Leaf Cafe came along. Chicken Biryani, Muttar Paneer and Punjabi Samosas in particular are great... But it's all good."

"We love eating here every experience is always outstanding. We are so lucky to have the best cafe in Brighton 5 minutes walk from our house. Amazing food always presented with care, attentive staff and a lovely relaxed environment. Tony and his team should be very proud of what they have achieved there. Can’t fault a single thing. Looking forward to our next visit already ????"

"Always like this backstreet café. wheelchair accessible. good speck sarnie. vegetarian options. friendly staff. recently back and sign on the door says that the place is closed, but perhaps opened again. Please! you had a good thing here."

"First, the good points; The front of house staff were delightful and the breakfast tea was superb. Unfortunately however the kitchen and food were hopeless. We waited close to an hour for our food to arrive, and then it was average at best. Meals described...in the menu as including two eggs, arrived with one. Welsh Rarebit on toast had solidified. Baked beans were a small pot of mainly juice. Disappointed we wasted a valuable hour of our bank holiday. There are many better places to eat in Hove."
