"Once more I like to point out the merits of Bar al Sole. It is situated directly at the main road, the SS13. Ample parking is available. Prices of the food and drinks are very reasonable. An outdoor seating area, most of the day basking in the sun, is available, to watch the traffic passing the bar. Furthermore, Bar al Sole is managed by a couple of friendly ladies. Generally speaking, Bar al Sole is a very good example of an Italian bar, with an unhurried atmosphere, where you can dash to the bar for a quick espresso, or leisurely settle down with a latte macchiato and a newspaper."

"What a wonderful way to end a hiking day! Conveniently located on a major road between Pontebba (and the connections to Pramollo and Chiusaforte, it does offer an excellent base for a meal or drinks on the way back to Udine. The food is unpretentious and back to basics and what basic! Full of flavour and rich of locally sourced ingredients, it does not disappoint the local palates, that is the reason why the place if often full of locals. The premises are unpretentious and rough, like the real mountaineers of the area. So if you are in for an excellent meal with no frills, this is the place for you. BTW the restaurant featured, with honour, on a national TV series Camionisti in Trattoria (literally Lorry drivers in Local Diners ... you get the point."

"Super atmosphere and very good vibes. Irene and Fabio and all the staff are so kind and smiling. Food is really local and interesting. Simple but perfect for the place. Simply lovely. Avoid week ends if you don't like crowds."

"The closing station has become a place of refreshment for cyclists along the cycle path alpe adria, suggestive and pleasant. The girls who manage it are good and friendly. They also set up a small botanical garden and in the outdoor space there are tables and chairs to relax in the sun. it would be nice to be able to stop for the night even now, but it would be a little cold without heating."
