"Great, comfortable little tea room. The proprietors are friendly and welcoming, always have a little chat. We've had afternoon tea a few times and it has never failed to please. Delicious. The variety of homemade cakes is amazing and unusual!"

"Good views overlooking the sea and beach at Mablethorpe. Staff very polite, only downside there are no toilets and the floors need a little repair in places. But nice to pop in for a rest and take in the view over a cuppa."

"We visited the cafe for a coffee break with ladies walking aids. The staff were friendly and helpful and it is one of the few cafes with a ground floor toilet for the disabled. A large cafe with room for the walking aids....Service with a smile too!"

"We stayed at the windmill Hotel on the 7th 8th of July 2023. Debbie was very welcoming as we had spoke previously on the telephone, Our room was brand new and decorated outstanding , The room it's self was clean tidy and we could not fault it ,The staff in the bar were very polite and welcoming Luke was very funny and quite a nice gentleman the drinks were moderately priced, The food in the restaurant was outstanding and moderately priced all so we had a lovely weekend at the Windmill Hotel in Alford. Everyone was very friendly in the village of Alford, which made our stay even better. Thanks for all your help and all your hospitality, we will be back, and we will recommend you to others for an outstanding weekend in Alford , Rooms: The room was clean tidy and had enough for what we needed Food drinks: The drinks were moderately priced, and the food was outstanding Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Quiet, Great value"

"One of the best places to enjoy the view of the sea. a friendly, family-run caffe with a large selection of snacks, breakfasts, hot and cold drinks, all to cheap trips. there is a large sitting area outside with magnificent views of the beach and the sea, and over the untouched coast. well worth going after when they are looking for where they sit and relax. the owners are very welcome."

"Very popular Inn for Saturday evening meal. Good menu choices and inexpensive wine list. Happy, smiling, attentive staff who very very helpful. Food arrived well presented and hot. All four adult’s were pleased with their selections. The portions sizes on some of the main dishes...are on the large size. Nice Inn atmosphere with real log fires. Slightly noisy when full. Would definitely go again. Recommended."

"Whilst away on business we had a fair few meals here... for the man part all were absolutely lovely and so nicely cooked. The last meal I ate here was the mixed grill, something didn't taste right I have no idea what it was but I didn't eat it all, which is most unusual for me. The following 5 days I was ill with an upset stomach .. I couldn't leave the house tbh.. Such a shame as previously all other meals had been absolutely lovely."

"We were staycationing in Lincolnshire and chose Horncastle as a central base a small friendly Market Town. We always seek a fine Restaurant for our last night whether at home or abroad and we were certainly not disappointed by Magpies, excellent food and very varied...wine list and looked after extremely well by our host. "We visited as a party of for Sunday lunch to celebrate my daughter's birthday. The staff could not be more attentive and accommodating. We asked if we could add two people to our booking when we arrived and although they were very busy...they moved us to a larger table with no fuss. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. It has been many years since I have visited and I was not disappointed. The restaurant and bar had a very welcoming and cosy vibe with a log fire and festive decor. The manager (I assumed he was) was very friendly and even gave my daughter a free drink for her birthday. Well done to The Splash' we will be back soon!"
