"We discovered the Red Deer Cafe a few months back after buying some land just outside Esk. I must say it came as a welcome surprise and its fast becoming out go to while we're out there. The food is well cooked, good quality, and comes in vast quantities. Its basically cafe food and they do what they do very well. The decor is just a weird menage of sea themed stuff and a mixed bag of various furniture types. Its all a little shoddy and could do with a bit of an update but if you're after a quick and relatively cheap feed of really good food you can't do much better. Two burgers, a medium serve of potato gems (i.e. a massive amount) and two drinks came in at around $40."

"Have just had the best quiche! Smoked salmon and feta. Have never had a poor experience in all my many visits. Coffee is good and service always friendly. Definately worth the stop."

"What a nice and well-founded while driving through esk. wheelchair access, dog-friendly, seating in the indoor/outside area, very friendly service and best, tasty eating. I had the homemade vanilla disc and I thought I couldn't eat it all, but I just couldn't stop. all the other cakes looked delicious and the local herr the next table said he eats there most days. they look at whether they go through it."

"Play relaxing time I had in Esk I can I say it’s worth a drive I always find the coffee 10 times better in the country compare to the city Being retired relax it’s great you can take your own time me I’m pleasure and good thing in the country we live in a different world and that’s one thing I like esk Nice people I take a philosophy be never judge a book by the cover was inside that counts and don’t hurt people that love you the most in return love others back That’s what my mother told me and that’s one thing I love the country that’s one thing in Australian so come on Queenslanders enjoy the country life"
