"We were staying at the hotel this weekend and on Saturday morning . I rang to confirm our booking for 3 and a baby, took nearly 5 minutes on the phone for someone to eventually transfer me to the restaurant, confirmed our time and headed down shortly before , went in a big double open door following a lady in and sat down , then the lady in charge came over and basically had a go because we walked in the exiting doors yet there was no sign facing out when walking in to see that it was an exit, anyway because of covid it was quite with plenty of staff working , the lady in charge then came over and was rude again about our guest who had brought the toddler into ya in the morning after minding him the night previous was told very rudely he was not staying in the room and couldn’t have the breakfast, he was taking a back but let her know he was only there to help with his son while we ate before swimming . When she tried to explain how the system worked it was so hard to understand what she was saying! We got our food and had been told someone would take our tea and toast order by time we come back with the food , nope food went ice cold and asked 3 times , worse yet by the time the toast came it was cold too so no winning there . Very disappointed as were really looking forward to the breakfast and left feeling like we were robbed yes it’s free but our friends paid 25 less for a room the same night so we felt robbed of a decent bite to eat in the morning !"

"The service was excellent and the tray bakes and tea were good. I bought my wife a slice of lemon roulade. I was asked if I wanted fresh cream and said I did. The cream was then sprayed from a can into a small bowl."

"Great to be back to The Bistro!Fabulous food, I had the scallops and prawns in a white wine cream sauce and himself had Duck in orange sauce with The Bistro’s signature sautéed potatoes. The Malbec was divine, the place was buzzing with people happy to be back in the land of the living but safely distanced. Great service by Tina and her team, and chef James Bursey never fails to impress with his culinary delights. Thank you for fab evening!"

"This is our favourite take away in Gorey! We've been getting food here for years and have always been happy with it Staff are super friendly, and the food is delicious. The Singapore Noodles are definitely our recommendation for everyone trying it out."
