"Not impressed at all! Poor selection, unfriendly AND inattentive staff. Quality of the desserts were alright. The coffee was horrible and I didn't even want to drink it after the first sip. Wouldn't waste my time and money especially when there are plenty other great options in Perth."

"I'm at Mondos the butcher every week and have seen Joe Muggs many times as it is about 30m up Beaufort St from Mondos. The place doesn't have much street appeal, almost like it's not quite sure what it wants to be. Which is a shame because once inside it's quite inviting, the owners are very friendly and the coffee is halfway decent. Did take a little bit of explaining of what a "dirty chai" was but that's typical of half the coffee shops in Perth. As I'm regularly in the neighborhood I can see myself popping back in for a cup."

"I have been coming here for the last few years and love it.The food is authentic and uses quality ingredients. I particularly like the mee goreng, lamb murtabak and their home made curry puffs.It is BYO and there is plenty of free parking nearby. Really can't go wrong with this place which is run by a wonderful couple.The closest to home cooking as though you were in Malaysia.Thanks Aunty Jessie!"

"As I sit in my boring office and eat porridge for lunch I'm actually thinking of the delicious lunch we had yesterday at this lovely little cafe. Four of us enjoyed a the all day breaky menu with all our faves. He had a bacon and egg burger and then got severe lunch envy. I had a beautifully presented and really yummy breaky bruschetta with bacon, roasted tomatoes, feta and perfectly poached eggs with a dash of basil pesto. Junior had his fave pancakes with banana (which was caramelized so he didn't eat it! and Miss S had the green breaky, spinach, eggs and gluten free toast. The service was polite but bringing the meals and drinks to the tables was ad hoc. I would prefer it is all served at once, so we can all eat together and all have hot meals when we do eat together. If you go here, have a wander through the gift shop and nursery. Its a lovely end to a good cafe experience."

"Yum! pizza was good basic really crunchy outside and chew inside not oily, friendly and personal service 5:30 for dinner, but so it was hardly busy, interesting menu. I think, compared to other neighborhood pizzas, the worth is quite good. we want back to breakfast and coffee"

"On Saturday morning to the café flown for a coffee; never again! my job lost that they gave someone else my 2 x coffee! then they made it and both lubricated so weak, it was like milk! also they had overloaded the girl. before me, that was waiting old too. cost me 20 minutes to get a coffee and the place was not even busy! will not come back."
