"We visit this bar every year when we are in Sao Martinho and find the owners Mike and Mary extremely friendly. Mike is a fountain of knowledge and will always recommend places to see and eat, and even arrange transport if needed. Food has always...been good here and Mike is very generous with his drink measures. Prices are good too. I really struggle to see what other people are complaining about, don't we all wish we had the initative and guts to be the first English people to open a successful bar in a predominently Portugese resort."

"Great food for the price you pay. For 6.50€ you get the day menu, bread, drink, coffee or dessert . As you can see by the photos, it's full and you have to wait for a table. The employees are very friendly and you will be very well served."

"Always a wonderful variety of hot cold dishes, salads, desserts. Buffet style, but you choose the size of plate you want and pay accordingly, desserts/coffee are extra. Can get very busy on certain days, you may have to wait for a table but I think it is good to see such a great place being so busy! The labelling of vegetarian vs vegan could be better, it isn't always clear, but the staff are very friendly and happy to help."
