"The School is a true 5 star restaurant in Markham worthy for that special occasion that will make you leave satisfied. The steak I had was superb and the chef was able to customize to my preference. Oddly I have spent more money on steak at Joey's and the Keg so this is by far a better venue to dine in. Supporting local businesses instead of the line chef cook by numbers establishments."

"I visited the restaurant with my boyfriend as we were gifted a Groupon to use for a quiet night out. I was a little apprehensive about going since the reviews seems to be all over the place. First off, the location is a little odd (in a small strip mall on the corner of a major intersection leading into a residential area), but don't let that bother you. Once inside, the decor is a little strange. Ocean/island themed, with stringed Christmas-type lights hanging form the ceiling, a "tree" in the middle of the dining room, and glass-topped tables with sand/shells underneath. Some reviewers found this off-putting, but I thought it was very cozy, and definitely something kids would love if they visited.So, on to the food. We had a 6 course meal. The shrimp cocktail was awesome! Flavorful and large shrimp, accompanied with a nice selection of Salad greens. The Lobster bisque was great, but did not contain any chunks of lobster that we could see. The salad was awesome! Again, with a nice selection of greens, and covered in a flavorful dressing. It was nice not to be served a run of the mill iceberg lettuce-based salad.On to the main courses...I ordered the lamb, while my date ordered the steak, and as main dishes, we were very happy with the size of portions served, and they were cooked just as ordered (Med-rare for the lamb, and Med-well for the steak). Extra points for that, since so many places that proclaim to be steak houses get this WRONG.Service was fast and courteous. The food was not "mind-blowing" exceptional, but we did enjoy everything we ate. I really liked the ambiance of this place, and would definitely recommend it for a date night. I liked that it wasn't overly fancy or pretentious, and seemed to be a great place to bring kids as well."

"I absolutely love the Malaysia Curry Beef rice and the ice milk tea here! However, I must admit that the chicken leg salad was a bit disappointing. The meat didn't taste fresh, and it had an overpowering pepper flavor."

"It a nice restaurant. Has interesting interior design. The restaurant offers a good variety of food. It is a buffet and the praise is reasonable. Ihave been multiple times during lunch time and every time I enjoy the food. The stuff is vey polite and helpful."

"This Lucullus (similar to the one at Kennedy and 14th) is essentially a chinese bakery shop that sells buns, cakes and small treats, such as tarts and cookies. What makes this Lucullus different from other bakery shops are slight variation of their product offerings, including dim sum and chinese dessert soups, and the decorated atmosphere. I've been here a handful of times, every time it's a pleasant experience because of the decor and the lighting. The setup is still self service, you pay of for your products with the choice of takeout or sitting down. For sit down, you can grab a seat while waiting for your order being prepared. The one thing that is slightly awkward is that you have to retrieve your drinks or hot items being served on a chin-level counter top, then walk back to your seat, crossing the usually busy aisle. Other than that, the seating are comfortable for a coffee-duration, the interior has a high and bright ceiling with large glass doors, tiffany decorations and european-inspired tile floor. At least I can say I always leave there as if I took a mini break, after savouring a good cup of yingyung."

"Hong KongTea House Style restaurant with a mix of traditional Hong Kong/Chinese dishes i.e. wanton noodle, congee, etc. and western style food i.e. steak, baked pork chop, French toast for afternoon tea time special. The varieties are just amazing. I had the baked pork shop w/two eggs and steam broccoli w/corn bits and milk tea. The waitress was most accommodating to allow me to change from the standard carbohydrate to vegetables. That dish was really good and fit my new eating life style. Overall, the restaurant is spacious and offers also free wifi service. We usually go there as a group and quite enjoy the offerings there."
