"The surf lodge is at the edge of of gorgeous beach/surf location. Staff was so warm and friendly, they made you feel like you were at home. I could have stayed forever. Fresh fish, food, nicest locals. Best surf location. You are in good hands here. One of the best vacations ever took.."

"This place was amazing how it looks very colonial and historical, is very comfortable the bed is great, the ac gets cooler after a couple, the bathroom is quite small, but very clean and beautiful is a great location to spend you night. Este lugar es maravilloso se lo recomiendo a todos es muy comodo la cama el aire y la ducha, muy buena ubicacion espero que lo disfruten."

"My boyfriend and I are both Dominicans who live in Cabarete and used to enjoy the services provided on the grounds of Agualina--the restaurant and the kite school are among the best you can find in Cabarete. Unfortunately in the last couple of months they've begun to enact policies that in essence keep Dominicans from being able to enter as security has been told to make any number of excuses to bar them entry. On two separate occasions my boyfriend and I were stopped at the front gate on our way to the restaurant as the security guard had been instructed, presumably, to stop any Dominicans at the gate. We told them several times we were going to the restaurant but they told us we couldn't pass. The reason this policy has been brought to my attention as being racist against us Dominicans, is that we have several foreign friends and none of them have been stopped since the policy came into effect. If they were to stop all people at the gate regardless of colour and nationality I wouldn't feel so humiliated, but they targeted me and my partner and that's not OK."

"Nice place. Staff is very helpful and take care of you are in need. The place looks like very secure and clean. Easy to access. The location is at the end of Cabarete if you are coming from Sosua or Puerto Plata, also a few minutes of several restaurants and very nice beaches. The complex is beach front."

"Great hotel right at the beach, and near all the good restaurants in Cabarete. The rooms are very spacious, for a double room we had 2 toilets! Everything is very clean and well kept. The view from the room amazing, right at the ocean. The garden is incredible and the pool area very pleasant and quiet. The staff is super helpful, they organised a car rental for us on a Sunday."

"The rooms are very clean and spacious, very friendly staff. Great location with sea view and has a restaurant next door, breakfast has been served with our stay and it is served on the roof of the hotel with magnificent views of the sea and a beautiful breeze."
