"Located this pub as a mid point stop over in the motorhome, call ahead and Bob reserved the space in the car park, nice pint of black sheep, excellent food I had faggots, and the red wine gravy was to die for. Really nice couple...of hosts and would definitely recommend this venue"

"We had taken food from tesco and decided to go to the caffe to eat is because the weather was very windy outside, without even sitting for a minute we said we had to go as we were not payees we had to...leave I found this completely rude and respectful as we had paid for eating in tesco just nothing from the caffe. we could have just set ourselves up and made us ready. the man who welcomed us would not even have known whether we would order food. we hope that we can repay the dinge, as our service obviously did not want. very disappointed can contact manger if this problem is not solved asap"

"Very large portions, don't go for anything other than small unless you have a very large appetite. Very reasonably priced and tasty. They do Cod roe which I sometimes have trouble getting. Would use again."

"Having found a cafe still open at the end of the day and with outdoor seating we thought we’d done well, but the experience was marred by the very indifferent customer service. I stood at the counter for some time and was completely ignored by the staff. True they were busy preparing orders and taking them to customers, but it wouldn’t have hurt to acknowledge my presence and to say something like ‘sorry to keep you waiting, I’ll be with you in a minute’ . Eventually I just had to interrupt one of the staff who was ignoring me and asked to place an order. They may have been tired at the end of the day, but the customer expects to be treated well whenever, after all we are paying their salaries."

"What a wonderful find and virtually on our doorstep. Excellent food and superbly matched wine flight served in well furnished, cosy surroundings. The staff were all friendly and attentive and our room was perfect. The 'proper ' coffee and loose leaf tea and teapot were most welcome, as were the fresh homemade biscuits. Breakfast was varied and tasty and more substantial than some other more prestigious 'Restaurants with rooms ' that we have stayed in. We will definitely be back : :"
