"Hidden behind the ruins of the old bedford castle this is one of the better Italian Anglo restaurants in bedford. it is a good value and has friendly helpful staff. as good for a coffee and a gelato."

"The first time we've been there for a few years and the first time the new team is running it. three of us had chosen the traditional Sunday roast the pork and bark options. portions were good, a nice selection of vegetables and the bark was cooked to order (medium rare in our case). the food was good and the service was very friendly and attentive. at £75 for 3 including some flat brot to begin and drinks it was also worth well. my only criticism would have been that eating would have been a bit hotter when it was served, it wasn't cold enough to send back, but could have been a few straight warmer for my lust. all in all, a good experience and we will be back soon."

"Excellent meal. Very good service. Reasonable price. I couldn’t ask for more. Great to meet the chef owner Tanya’s well. As a vegetarian, I found the quality and variety of veg used in my meal and the perfect standard of cooking fantastic. The Tom Yum soup was at the ideal level of spiciness and just sharp enough for my taste. The veg Pad Thai was a perfect follow on main course. I would recommend this for a quality mean at a reasonable price."

"Visited on a week night and it was quiet. Food was nice but the portion size seems to be smaller than our last visit. We all commented on this. Especially on the scallops/squid starter appreciate the cost but they were small scallops. Main courses were nice. One the lacked to 2 chilli rated heat but the flavour was good. We were given an additional nan which we hadn’t asked for and the server said don’t worry he’d knock it off the bill. I didn’t notice it wasn’t removed until we left. The service was very efficient. I love the location and I guess that’s why the prices seem higher than other local Indian restaurants. I’d certainly recommend and visit again."
