"Booked a table for a graduation celebration from Stirling University. We were sat at a window table with a spectacular view of the lake. Ducks and ducklings wandered around outside in the evening sun. We started with some well made cocktails and ordered starters. I tried the avocado and prawn salad which was delicious and there were good reports about the mussels and scallops and the stack of black pudding. Main courses were a Rib-eye steak, two Fajitas and chef’s special beef cheeks. All top quality. Even though the portions were generous, we stayed for desserts and coffees. The service was very fast and attentive and as mentioned, the food was great! It is on the expensive side but I thought it was worth it for a special occasion. Recommended."

"Here for late lunch and not disappointed. clean dish round. bakery and broken fish were of the highest quality. white pudding was also excellent. a choice and cake looked good, but we were too full. faster service and nice staff."

"Food is tasty but no better than what you’d expect from a “typical Scottish dish” ready meal. Was greeted with friendly faces and a generally calming atmosphere but by the time we started eating, this friendliness had depleted to the point I almost had to second guess whether the server did actually work there. Felt almost like a street scammer trying to win you over before taking your money and running. if you want to have a tasty meal and feel welcome for a quarter of the price I’d walk straight past here and make my way to McDonald’s. A deffo no from me."
