"Really the best chinese food of my life! The shrimp toast was aromatic and the outer flakes. The shrimp lo mein and spicy shrimp with peanuts were also great dishes. Our waitress managed not to make both dishes hot, but to keep all the flavors. Even the tea was fragrant and incredible. We'll be back."

"The restaurant was very noisy to the point of discomfort. The menu was interesting, the food very good, and the service outstanding which makes me uncomfortable not to recommend it, but the noise level overwhelmed its good features. The restaurant has hard surfaces that reflect the noise. The louder the customers were forced to speak, the worse the atmosphere became."

"We have been going to Kanpai since it opened. We have noticed a significant decline in the food quality. We sat at barbecue table and ordered severed different types of beef and seafood. Beef was very fatty and poor quality, seafood was ok. The place was empty and the service was spotty at best. Very disappointing!!"

"First visit to Roots. Two couples. Very accommodating providing a table not too cold for my wife. We had calamari that was obviously fresh not frozen; tender and prepared with a light breading. Pear and Fig Baratta, arancini, and capaese stack were all excellent. We all had snapper either Francese or Marechiara. All agreed the food was tasty, well prepared and the portion generous. There are many Italian restaurants in Boca and the surrounding area. This one focuses on fresh ingredients, and quality preparation. Will be back."
