"Lovely food, very interesting menu! We hadn’t booked and were offered a table in the square round the corner, which was lovely. My ceviche of seafood was delicious and tender and my husband’s pork knuckle was a huge portion and fell off the bone. Would have liked more veg salad options but all in all, would definitely recommend."

"The resaurante mesón de las américas is undoubtedly one of my favorite restaurants but the one that most. stand out for the Argentine meats as well as for the empanadas and chorizos criollos. the best certainly so cover cards to try in bar as it is good for the cardboard where they are written. They also have an underground lounge where to eat at the table also highly recommended. They also have a different meno."

"Very pleasant, clean restaurant. Staff friendly and attentive. Reasonable wait time for main courses (about 15 minutes), nicely presented. (See picture veal top, oriental style pork tenderloin bottom). Mild criticism the veal was a little tough. Perhaps providing steak knives for meat dishes would be a good idea. Location is a big plus for tourists not used to the maze that is Old Cadiz the restaurant faces the west wall of the Mercado Central (Central Market). It seems every signpost in Old Cadiz has a sign pointing to Mercado Central. And once you find the restaurant I think you will be glad you did."

". A popular bar cafeteria set in a lovely park. The Parque Genoves, next to the Parador, is a delightful spot. And at the southern end is this little outdoor eating place. No inside seating at all, only outdoors, but the tables have sunshades so necessary in most months of the year. The food is cheap and cheerful, but not bad at all, and the service is not too hot. Obviously no staff training here! But when your legs are weary, or if the children are demanding a sandwich and a drink, you can sit down here and while away some time waiting for them to finally bring your order that they made you wait before taking it. : I say that it is popular because we saw on several occasions small groups (6 8 people of English people sitting chatting over a beer, a coffee or something stronger. Give it a try! ."
