"A group of us stuck in Mickey Land for a convention were looking for a Sunday brunch spot. Oskars in Waldorf sounded like what we wanted and off we went. While I'm not a fan of buffets, this one looked amazing, with more variety than usual including a smoked salmon bar, ham bar, and honey dripping from a honeycomb! There were a lot of families with kids so it was a bit noisy but that didn't really affect ... everything the group of 4 tried we loved. Only two things that were a little strange was that the cost of the buffet only included mimosas, not Bloody Marys and no eggs Benedict on the buffet. However, what impressed me most was the commitment to making the customer happy. When I got to the salmon bar it was empty even though two staff members I asked told me it would be replenished. When I mentioned it to our waiter he came back and said they were going out which was disappointing. The manager came over apologetically and said they even sent Hikton next door but they were out until Monday ... not what I wanted to hear. 15 minutes later the manager appeared with a plate of the best smoked salmon I've had in a long time ... THAT is service."

"I tend to enjoy family style Italian restaurants because the portions are meant for multiple people. That way, you can order something, not be able to finish it, and have a second meal ready later. There’s not the awkward “can I finish it and overeat?” problem. There’s simply just too much. If you follow my reviews, it’s pretty clear that I like lasagna. When given the opportunity, I order it and can be a little judgements about it. Under the guise of “pasta al forno” the lasagna here is alright. The meat and noodles are cooked right, but it’s missing a key component: sauce. There’s hardly any sauce and that’s a travesty. Sauce is a key element in any pasta dish and there should be plenty. With the good food and expensive prices, what out it over the top was the service. They sat us at the bar and the bartender was charismatic and honestly great at his job. He kept refilling our waters right as we finished them all while making drinks for other customers. He singlehandedly turned this dining experience from an okay to a great one."
