"After walking out to the Fort de Socoa from St:Jean-de-Luz and before going back, I felt like a break. There are several restaurants next to each other close by the fort, but there was construction going on, so I ended up at the 'Café de la Plage ' in the bend of a street and quite removed from the beach. At a counter inside I asked for a 'bière blonde de pression ' and got a 'Grimbergen blonde ' in its typical goblet. After paying by cash (no credit card, please I took the glass outside. The outdoor seating is not too attractive, just by a street and quite removed from the beach, but I enjoyed my rather strong (6.7% 25ml Belgian abbey beer, which now gets produced by Carlsberg in various countries."
