"This tiny, yet elegant hole-in-the-wall is elevating the gastronomic options of Dumaguete to new standards, with their authentic tapas bar atmosphere, very good food and inexpensive cocktails. Stepping into Allegre feels like stepping into a little piece of Spain on what used to be the Philippines' most attractive seafront Boulevard. There's not much room inside but sitting at the bar is perfectly fine, sitting outside is a bit marred because traffic has become quite ridiculous here recently. The have a very small menu, but a great addition of daily specials which are the real winners of this place. Delicious ceviche, lovely chorizo, croquetas, and the star of all tapas dishes : morcilla, home made Spanish blood sausage, which really made me happy to see this rare dish (in Asia) on the menu. Prices are very reasonable, in line with Dumaguete's low level, with all dishes under 200 Php, and cocktails are tasty and downright cheap."
