"Whenever I have someone visiting Geelong (which is often), Sir Charles Hotham is a must, with fabulous service, a very reasonably priced & varied menu...the choice is excellent, with an added plus: a terrific gluten-free fare. It has an old-fashioned family atmosphere which makes you want to return again & again.I highly recommend it,Vic Kingdom"

"Really good dinner here. The place is huge and it was packed on a Thursday. Lots of families. I had a gnocchi marinara and a minestrone soup. Both were quite nice. Not fabulous. I'd love to go back and try a wood-fired pizza. The boys were bashing those things out like there was no tomorrow!"

"Most of the other reviews are true to word. We attended a wedding here upstairs on the weekend. Was excited to come here as I thought it would be a lovely experience and lovely dining... but no....finger food only (& I know that is the choice of the couple, but...) the standard, quantity and quality was extremely poor. If you were lucky enough to actually get any finger food. Venue was dirty. Cheap wine and Champaign. Don't know what the beer was like. Would not recommend this venue to anyone having a Wedding here. Maybe ok for 18th, 21st and have a meal before you come!. Waitresses and Bar Staff were lovely and friendly and the view is lovely. That is about it. Needs a major overhaul of facilities and food. Thumbs down to this venue!"
