"We had a good meal last Sunday at the Royal Oak. 14 y.o nephew had nachos, pretty big serve. Well priced for what was. I had a steak sandwich, again big serve very tasty, $24 is at the top end for a steak sandwich though. Bit of live Jazz music going on in the back, ok if you like jazz :)"

"Really nice food!!! Oyster is much better that I had in the glass house in Hobart which said as Blackman bay oyster. The taste of white fish is super juicy, variety and tasty, I think it's a must try with brilliant grilled vegetables as base. Comparing to seafood, the steak is so normal, how to say, not taste as beef, just something meat but not really good beef. Overall, I highly recommend here for seafood."

"My wife enjoyed the scallops, which were panko crumbed and a reasonable size. I had the sirloin which was a little over- cooked, but only just. Steak was plonked on the salad, which didn't do the salad much good; chips were average, so just ok....We were advised that they provide a discount if we mentioned that we are staying at a local motel, but that wasn't honoured at all. Mid-strength Beer, soft drink meals for over Lucky we didnt get a cab!!"

"We arrived on a Tuesday evening without reservation and they were pretty busy so not one table available for two immediately. they were very accommodating and after a short waiting period a table was available for us. we had the salt pfeffer calamari for appetizers, quite delicious, then the meat with heat pizza, which was especially popular nabenholz. beautiful experience."
