"We decided to have lunch in O Caniço because there weren't many options and some of them looked like tourists traps. We didn't have many expectations but we saw Portuguese people eating there and we were surprised by the food, it was tasty and pretty nice in general, we enjoyed our lunch but don't expect a top restaurant. The staff was really kind."

"I haven't really sampled the menu thoroughly but the dishes I had were amazing. My favourite is definitely the pshrimp moqueca. Amazing flavours especially when mixed with the piri piri. The polvo carpaccio is also totally worth it."

"Always great food. I came here 10 years ago when I first visited Lisbon and loved it. Returned and it is still a fantastic simplistic local traditional Portuguese cuisine restaurant. We had the Galinha de cabidela and the Coelho grelhado (grilled rabbit) which the chef mentioned was the first time they've cooked it and they were excellent."

"Family of 5, with 3 boys. Steak on a stone was fab, lovely warm atmosphere. Staff and service great. Near Gloria Elevator. Chicken wings, calamari, cheese and bread while waiting for food. All five of us left happy and content with our experience. Would go back again."
