"This exceptional service! I've only been here three times since they opened up. The waiter remembered my name! I've never experienced Kurt being an outstanding person. The kitchen was delicious as it is, the Calamari is by far the best in the city and the plunging sauces are superior companions. The chicken marsala and fish tacos were perfectly textured and well balanced. Whenever my wife and I have the need to treat us, Moonstone is definitely on our list. Well done people."

"After the Wrestling Tournament of the Championship Wrestling Division, we took our 17-year-old Grandson for a dinner. He wanted food that was healthy for the body and not a fast food joint. The staff was super friendly and our server was attentive. We ordered two orders from Shrimp Chicken Carbonara and a seafood Alfredo. Everyone came with bread sticks and your choice of salad or four different soups. We had a salad, Chicken Crocchi soup (white cream sauce with small dumplings), and another soup that had sausage, veal, potatoes with white cream sauce. Salad was just one serving, but enough for three! The boys thought their soups were great! Our main dishes were the best!!! The meal was served in time. Overall great meal experience. I wish her Bellini Peach-Raspberry ice tea was sold in grocery stores, yes people it's so good! It's like a sweet peach tea with nighttones of raspberries... very refreshing. Expect to pay a base of 20 per meal... but with a taste of AWESOME it was worth every bite! Image: Seafood Alfredo, and soup with sausage, veal, potatoes in a white cream sauce (name skips my mind)."

"Food was incredibly overpriced. This is Redding, not the Bay area. Prices need to suit the economy of the town. Overall really enjoyed the live music (Supertonic Jazz) and the environment. Pretty good for a first time there."

"I had a wonderful late dinner outside on the patio. It was one of the first rains of the year so it was a bit colder than we expected. Since it was the first ?colder? night of the year the staff didn?t have propane for the heaters or fireplaces. I don?t fault the restaurant for that though. The food was very good, I cannot complain about my dish at all, same with the drinks as they were all prepared well. Service was pretty quick and very helpful as well."

"My wife and I wanted a nice laid-back place to sit outside and enjoy a fun dinner. We ended up being very disappointed by the service. Our server took about 10-15 minutes to get to the table (which feels like an eternity when you are waiting to order beverages). They took our drink order and quickly returned with a cocktail and waters but the beer we ordered was delayed by a few minutes. Not a big deal, but then the night went south. We didn't see our server again for a very long time. We started to feel like our appetizer was a little delayed when food runners showed up with our entrees. No app in sight. We let them know and eventually the server brought our app. But we were halfway into the meal by that point. The food tasted fine. Nothing extraordinary but not bad. The nachos, I admit, were delicious. The mac and cheese we ordered was described to have bread crumbs but was missing that. Fortunately the server had it taken care of pretty quickly. We were never asked about having our drinks refilled. And after eating, we waited a long time for our check. It just seemed to take forever for everything. None of the problems by themselves would have been a big deal, but together it added up to a somewhat unpleasant experience. The server was nice and apologetic. They also comped us the appetizer which was nice. May have been an off night or maybe a new server, but I can't say I would recommend going on a Saturday night. Also, we did enjoy the outdoor seating area. It was a little tight, but the ambiance was nice."
