"Stumbled into this place when returning to our Air B&B. They have a nice selection of Greek specialities with even a few vegetarian option such as haloumi (not always easy to find on Greek menus). The Greek salad wasn't really that authentic (with lettuce) but...the Haloumi was great. The waiters (all men) are a funny bunch. They'll make you laugh and make sure there is a great atmosphere. Service is really quick even though this is a big restaurant with a lot of tables. They offer a shot of free ouzo which is nice gesture (free vitamins according to the waiter). Careful when you visit the toilets downstairs : the floor can get really slippery"

"After some bad experiences with hotel acommodation in the town, this restaurant was like a life-saving place for me. The staff was very friendly. I think they're real Italians and it looked like they all love their jobs. We got great pizza prosciutto and spaghetti...bolognese and fantastic vino bianco. The amosphere was really great there."

"This restaurant was recommended by our hotel. We hadn't booked but were found a table outside and waited for the menu. No menu! You choose from the fish on ice displayed inside. Pricing was a bit vague. We received a cold fish starter platter which was refreshing and tasty. The main course was absolutely delicious (rotbarsch) served with grilled vegetables. All good. Then we were encouraged to try a mixed platter of desserts. We could only fit a little more in so asked for very small portions. It was too much and the bill was way more than we anticipated. We enjoyed the evening as the food was good and we had convivial conversation with some people at the next table but the ordering and pricing system is a bit disconcerting."

"The restaurant name is Istra Konoba. Enjoyed lunch here very much. The waitress was very friendly and helpful and could explain to us Today's Menu in English (there is no menu card). We shared mussels and prosciutto as starters. The mussels were really fresh. And...seared trout was the main dish. It was so fresh it didn't need much seasoning. The price was reasonable at 14.80 Euros per pax. The place was packed and we were glad we called ahead to make s reservation."
