"I was hesitant to try this place for mixed reviews, but so glad we did. We started the meal with a basket of onion rings that were more like onion straws that we personally loved. Like a new version of these things you put on green bean casroles. We ate every single piece even the smallest scraps. AMAZING! I have the cheese steak that was hot and juicy on a very fresh bread. Perfect. My Hubby has stacked the Pittsburgh style sandwich with Pommes and Cole Slav on a kind of meat patch. He loved it and ate every last crumb. My aunt ordered pepperoni pizza and really liked it. I tried a small piece and while it wasn't my favorite it was hot, fresh and crispy around the edges. And the sauce was delicious. The cheese seemed a little bland, but this is my only complaint. Service was great and our overall experience was excellent. I can't wait next time I'm in town."

"An interesting busniess model. You order your food and drinks (refills too) from bartender. You then get food from bartender (and forks, napkins etc). The fish is extremely fresh. The soup was avg. very creamy. Took a while, they were packed. Itipped 20% but felt I did all the work lol. Great place to go for happy hour."

"I had a fantastic time at George and Wendy's with my mother tonight! The general manager Dawn was so welcoming and friendly. She even remembered us both from our first visit which was really appreciated and made us feel at home. Our sever Marcus and his manager were also very attentive and hospitable. Marcus never dropped the ball and always made an effort to check back and made sure everything was just perfect! Thank you so much. The food was tastey too, I had the baby back ribs, which as promised by the extensive menu fell off the bone! Topping off the night was my frozen Pina colada which was so daymn yummy and was my desert and night cap in one! Being made extra boozie with a goslings black seal float. Would recommend to anyone and everyone. The live music wasn't half bad either. Thank you again George and Wendy's for a lovely evening ."

"Ate here twice while staying at the Sanibel Inn. Very handy. Food was good with nice sized portions. Personally, I liked the coconut rice as a side dish. I would like to especially point out the helpfulness of Sarah, who waited on me both meals. Very friendly and she remembered that I enjoyed the rice. In addition, as I am a person wi a mobility disability, she was helpful with the doors and seating. As a person with a disability who travels a bit, this sincere kindness was greatly appreciated. Thank you, Sarah!. I hope to return to the Sanibel Inn for future stays and will certainly eat at the Sea. Star Cafe when I do."
