"I have been here a few times. This small restaurant is located close to the Gilmore skytrain station. It gets busy at lunch so you might not get a table so take-out would be the better option. There is covered customer parking specific for the retailers however you are better to get there early at lunch for the free spots else lots of pay street parking. I had the teriyaki beef bento box and my friend had the crispy kita, which she always gets as that is her favourite. They provide free green tea and a few outdoor tables outside."

"Went here with family as we had a craving for Japanese food. We ordered Bento lunches and ramen. The food was served to each of us at staggered times instead of at the same time, which was awkward. The food was well presented but was...not notable. the ramen was bland. It's hard to make a call on this place as all we had was lunch. Based on this experience even though the place itself was interesting for it being in an old heritage house I would say the overall experience was average. We will try it again and this time for dinner. The place was busy so that must speak for its popularity. A future update to come..."

"If you like shush this is your place. They bring lots and lots of sushi to your table. The tables are more like little rooms where you will be seated. Very interesting place nice and private. And SO MUCH SUSHI"

"This is a place where I would definitely go if you are in the area. The chef/owner will know what you usually order and he is very friendly and down to earth. Do not expect him to flatter you will some 'BS ' talk.<br/ <br/ The lunch box here is awesome. Beef teriyaki option is a must. Try it and you will come back.<br/ <br/ Hidden gem in the area! See for yourself."

"What a fantastic place. I have been eating here for over altho years and, as a regular, have been treated very well, and welcomed. The owners and staff are very kind and generous, as well as helpful. I have never had an order confused, nor been disappointed in the food. "We’re big fans of Take Sushi, located on Hastings Street in North Burnaby. I don’t think we’ve ever had anything bad here before.<br/ <br/ One of their more popular dishes is the Tuna and Mango Salad mixed with avocado and cucumber. The avocado was perfectly ripe and the sauce really brings out the flavours of the fresh tuna and mango chunks. I actually prefer how they used to serve this on a glass plate instead of a white oval bowl.<br/ <br/ We ordered some nigiri to go with our meal: Tamago, Unagi, Toro, and Chopped Scallop… again, all well-prepared.<br/ <br/ The Spicy Agedashi Tofu are rather large with a crisp outer layer protecting the tofu on the inside. All of it is covered with their dreamy hot sauce which is more tangy than it is pungently hot.<br/ <br/ We were already pretty full before the Nabenyaki Udon arrived but we just had to finish off the silky smooth udon noodles.<br/ <br/ And, of course, one of my favourites is the Grilled Salmon Belly. I know it might seem excessively fatty and oily but I figure I spend enough on fish oil pills that I might as well enjoy the salmon belly."

"This place is hidden on Rosser Ave across Whole Foods. I think it's an underreated sushi place since it's not exactly on Lougheed or Hastings. The fish is fresh, the cooked items are good what's not to like? Sashimi is very good quality and a very good portion. One of my favorites on the menu was the grilled squid, marinated well and very tender a must try. My absolute favorite here are the oshi. They do oshi and very well too. My favorite is the Saba Oshi I highly recommend it!"
