"On prior visits I enjoyed Sushi Marquee. However this visit was truly awful. The restaurant was surprisingly filthy. I had to change tables once due to food on the floor around our table and our table top being sticky. Our second table was better but still had food around. The second table top was also sticky. The waiter was attentive but was covered in food. It looked like he had worked all day in the kitchen. His clothes were also notably wrinkled. This visit was a disappointment."

"It was for Mother 's day. There are 2 sushi restaurants in the same plaza. The other was completely booked. We live nearby and had tried the other one. The ambiance is great. It wasn 't busy so it wasn 't noisy. Very roomy, they could pack more tables in if they become popular. Sashimi was great. Good sized, and fresh. We had the Sakura roll and Monster roll. Did not like the Monster roll, which was a spicy tuna roll in a light batter for a quick deep fry. Most of the rolls are spicy. Spicy items should just be a few exceptions. It is a sushi bar and grill, so we tried the grilled steak and shrimp. We asked for medium rare but got medium well. Most restaurants will give you medium when you asked for medium rare. We get it. It was very good and we are ok with it. Another problem with the food is the Chinese influence. We ordered fried soft shell crab. It came with a sweet and sour sauce. Not the one for sweet and sour pork but the sauce for fried wonton (as in the gam lo wonton dish I tasted in Hong Kong. We were expecting traditional light sweet soy sauce to bring out the natural flavor of the crab. Grilled steak and shrimp also came in a Chinese style sautéed sauce. Fried rice was also Chinese style. On the service side, the wait staff lacks sophistication or lack of experience for the level of the restaurant. The were attentive. Just not polished. When we sat down we asked about the specials of the day. The waitress did not know it well. We always ask about the specials to look for the truly special items, such as seasonal or chef 's creativity forays and skip the mundane overstocked items a restaurant is pushing. The deviation from traditional Japanese and Chinese cooking influence may be what 's sending most of the patrons to the sushi restaurant next door. I would recommend this restaurant but stick with the traditional Japanese fares in the menu."

"Food was great and full of flavor! Mine was spicy which I loved! Service was great, drinks were always filled and the food didn’t take long at all. Went in the middle of lunch during the week. It was big portions even for lunch size which was nice. Right by my work so I’m sure I will be coming back!"
