"Another favorite restaurants of my youngest Son. He loves the hard steak taco with cheese. He ordered 4 pieces at a time, lol. I enjoy the beef burrito with ground beef. The burritos and tacos are made fresh to order, the beef burrito has beef, cheese, rice, guacamole and sour cream. I'm kinda a plain Jane when I eat, so I just like ground beef, rice and cheese. The service is fast, friendly and bilingual! When I sit in the restaurant, customers that are regulars stop in and the staff already knows what their order is! It's amazing! When you enter the restaurant, you feel like your entering an old friends home, ready to enjoy a meal and break bread with a friend. Stop by and order a meal, I know you'll feel the same as I do!"

"Although busy, almost a whole house, we sat within 4 minutes. Our waitress was apologetic that she was pulled to her other tables, but was amazingly efficient and got our drinks and food to us as soon as it was ready. The food itself was soooo good! The sushi is definitely fresh, tasteful and well made. We couldn't eat anything we ordered. But I was able to recruit the tempura and make it to our breakfast plates... again, tasty! attentive, friendly staff who desire the meals they serve for the needs of the customer. Will definitely recommend others and give me back!"

"Kona is like a tropical Las Vegas or a Monday night on Bourbon Street. THIS is the top rated sushi place in Kona? What an embarrassment. The sushi was mediocre at best with too mushy rice and meager portions. The horrible fried fare (chicken furikake that the server recommended fried ahi steak) on the other hand was awful AND plentiful. At first, I thought that the katsu sauce could save the ahi tuna steak but sadly it was just a thick glop of salt. The chicken furikake was covered in a goopy sauce that somehow congealed the fried coating on the chicken. There is NO ambiance as the window facing ‘view’ allows for a sneak peek at a gorgeous Japanese paper lantern… That has been covered in plastic and is so filthy and bug covered it is in itself nauseating. People watching is depressing as it is a belly out vibe…and not the good kind. Inside it’s dark and dingy with no attention to aesthetics."

"There was already a line to open the door within ten minutes. the poke was fresh and cold, and we could see that they prepare more poke behind the counter. the tastes of the poke were delicious and each morsel was eaten. it was a pretty delicious start to the day!"

"This is proverbial hole in the wall restaurant. And as such, of course, the food is excellent. I had the beef, which was thinly sliced and soooo good. Don't let the surroundings turn you off, liquor store and cold storage next door. I do suggest taking it to go. No A/C and at times it is noisy from cold storage place loading trucks. That's the reason I didn't give it 5 stars."
