"I grew up in NY city, the most diverse city in the states and I remember growing up as a kid I loved Asian food, mostly Japanese food. I’ve been searching for a place ever since I moved and here I am in Hawaii and I FOUND IT the place that reminds me of home and reminds me of Asian culture here at Wok Grill Express. It can definitely use a little more work but maaan is the food amazing. As I , being in the army, travel a lot and work a lot. This place provides lots of food for a great price and not only does it give a lot of food, it also has good quality food. With some help from the community this place can definitely grow sooo much bigger and better. EAT HERE, IT IS SOOOOOOO WORTH IT"

"After exploring numerous Mexican restaurants across the island in my nine years here, I was on the verge of giving up on finding a reliable go-to spot. It seemed challenging to replicate the authentic Mexican flavors, seasonings, cuts, and salsas that I was accustomed to from Los Angeles. I learned that the scarcity and cost of certain ingredients, which are inexpensive in LA, contributed to the differences. Add the natural island spin, and my quest left me disappointed--until El Ranchero opened. While it doesn 't fully satisfy my cravings, El Ranchero is undoubtedly the best Mexican food I 've had on the island. It 's a joke in my book that they strategically chose California Ave and even named a burrito the California burrito, featuring carne asada fries inside. I 've missed the carne asada fries from places like Alberto 's or Alfredo 's, and while it 's not quite the same, El Ranchero hits the spot. I frequently make the drive from town, and now with their new location at Ka Makana Alii, I have more options!"

"I lived in the Bay Area California for 4 years and spent many a moment in many legit taquerias. When I moved back to Hawaii, the biggest thing missing here was an authentic Taqueria. I am beyond words that this place has opened! While prices are a little on the high side, I feel that it is worth it. The food is authentic and delicious!!!"

"Rarely go through Wahiawa, but did on a Saturday morning. Picked up some brownie fingers for my sister-in-law law. Of course I had to pick up for the hubby as he loves brownies. But my best find was the custard like butter rolls..back to the brownie fingers, they seem to taste better after a few days. Ladies at the bakery are very happy and friendly also. Parking that day was good as I've heard at times you can't get into the parking lot. We were in and out in a matter of 5 minutes. Will come back if in the area again."
