"Four of us went for brunch under the assumption that they served chocolate pancakes / waffles, but the menu we saw online was old and the brunch menu offered was actually quite small. We decided to make the most of it, and ordered homemade doughnuts to share as starters, as well as Eggs Benny with crab, and bacon pancakes (who in their right mind would not want to try something called "bacon pancakes"?!).The food was good (not fantastic, but good), including the freshly baked doughnuts, the eggs benny and, OF COURSE, the bacon pancakes. However, several items in our dishes - we couldn't tell which - were extremely over-salted. Also, the coffee was cold and not a great brew to start with.A redeeming feature is that they do serve mimosas. That was pleasant.Personally, I was underwhelmed, but I would let my friends drag be back if they had their heart set on it. It just wouldn't be my first choice for brunch. Oh, and I would get coffee first."

"Maybe it's a bonus for being surprised, who'd expect this terrific pulled pork? It's gone through a major reno compared to my last visit a few years ago, though the inside looks fabulous now with booth seating, a TV, & possibility of my next place to kill between meetings, the outside still looks like a deli. Especially with that sandwich board, screaming its daily special.The meat is really moist & tender, though if you're hungry, you'll need two of these puppies. Bread also is very fresh, apparently owner proud to say that nothing is made the night before or defrosted. I trust him & the food shows.Deleesh vegs/coleslaw gave a nice crunch texture. Loved the wrap-style as made eating this easier while driving.Easy repeat.Accepting AMEX really pushed it ;)"

"Not an easy place to get to without a car, but well worth the trip. La Quercia is from the age before the HST destroyed Vancouver’s restaurant industry. Every time I eat here I am amazed at the chef and his staff’s talent. Every bite is like an explosion of flavour, and I can understand why many patrons eat here weekly. The wine list is very good, and I would highly recommend the chef’s tasting menu for your meal. They have two tasting menus, opt for the larger menu it is a wonderful experience. This is a small place, and the staff are all very experienced. When you make your reservation, make sure you tell them you want the tasting menu, as it can take several hours. The staff will sit you accordingly so you won’t be rushed. If you are a foodie, this is a must for Vancouver!"

"I was pleasantly surprised to stumble upon this place. The food is unique and deliberate... I would say masterful. The service is very professional. The atmosphere is upscale and the prices are too, but this might be the nicest vegan eatery in Western Canada. I hope to return!"

"Flavours are good, service was great. The pasta sauces were good themselves I just wished the pasta noodles were more flavourful. And also wished the Eggplant Parmigiana had more eggplant in it, it had lots of mozzarella though so was tasty still. The atmosphere is quite nice and comfortable. Will come back to try other dishes. Went at 5pm when dining room had only a couple of people but then got seated at an awkward 2-person table that was next to the utensil station. I understand this table was probably only placed here for spacing out for Covid precautions but still, the rest of the restaurant was basically empty at the time. The restaurant filled up fast though. So close to 4 stars."

"I've been here before but took my cousin here for her birthday dinner. We were initially sat in a cramped corner but our server was so sweet and moved us by the window. Not only does this place have amazing food but you will get over the top service as well! Our server Christina was the sweetest and I would definitely come back just because of her! To start, we shared the grilled octopus which was one of their daily specials. It was so delicious and the sauces and small poached egg paired perfectly together. Christina also sent our table a surprise which was baked focaccia bread. It was soooo good and cheesy and the sweetest gesture. For mains, my cousin had the spaghetti which came with a yummy piece of bacon. I myself had the short rib ravioli, which was another special that day. It was so good I could have eaten two servings. I really liked the cream sauce that was used and the meat was flavorful and tender. Since my cousin is pregnant, she only had pineapple soda to drink. Christina was so cute and offered me some special red wine which I could not stop drinking lol. For dessert we has another special, a lemon pie, and the creme brulee. Both choices balanced each other out perfectly (sweet and tart). I will definitely come back again!"
