"We got caught in a downpour of rain early evening, walking up Lothian Road on our way back to our Hotel so decided to jump into Bar Italia for food, expecting quite a generic lacklustre meal..... So wrong!! This place was a great find! Very busy when we walked in at 19:00 but they had a space for 2. The atmosphere was lovely. Very cosy, bustling, typically Italian! We ordered Burrata Caprese, couple of mains (Crab Ravioli is LUSH! , dessert and 2 Drinks each. Our bill was around £84 which we thought was fantastic considering the quality of food and how delicious everything was. Brilliant find and absolutely will be back on our next trip into the City from Aberdeen."

"Went at lunchtime and was really busy. Not surprising. Excellent value for money with two courses for less than £6. Penne Arribiata was a little salty for my taste but the spinach and ricotta cannelloni was excellent. Thoroughly enjoyed the polenta chips too."

"A very enjoyable meal here, friendly service, very reasonable prices and delicious food. I wa looking for somewhere to go that was not filled with Christmas parties, loud and expensive as a lot of places are at this time of year. Would definitely return.
