"Do not use this bakery for a wedding cake. Our cake was delicious, but the communication leading up to our wedding was completely lacking. The owner said she couldn 't move the process forward without us coming in, so we had to stop on our wedding weekend on our way to Seabrook to 'place ' the order we had already been emailing about. Then, the person working couldn 't take payment. I followed up on email, and was told I could pay with Apple pay or over the phone. I asked for an Apple pay request to be sent. I never received a payment request, so I called the next day to find out how to pay. I never heard back. The next day was my wedding. I got 2 hours of sleep and was emailing the owner at 4 am trying to figure out if a cake was coming our not. My best friend had her husband stop on his way to the wedding and got cupcakes so we had dessert. The cake ended up showing up. It was delicious. I was called and reached out to multiple times in the 2 days after my wedding with the owner looking for payment. Geesh! You can 't get back to me as I 'm trying to plan my wedding and then you drop a cake off and want me to step away from my event, friends and family to pay you? This was the ultimate low light from our wedding. It was incredibly stressful working with the owner. : Hopefully reading this post will spark the owner to either say no to weddings or change her process to no one else has to go through what I went through."

"The catfish at this place is absolutely wonderful!! I never make a trip to Mississippi without stopping in. The one thing I really love is the fact that I am able to buy the catfish, freeze it and bring it back to Wisconsin with me."

"Its average Starbucks coffee but the in store staff got the order wrong. Nothing earth shattering, but for instance, asked for extra caramel and rather than drizzle it in the cup, it was added on top of the whipped cream as an after thought. And ice water came with no ice. Didn't want to wait for everything to be remade so accepted it as it was."

"My 2 children and I had the best experience here! The owners and staff were nearly as delightful as the chocolate. Truffles, a giant teddy bear, was a big hit with the kids. We enjoyed every treat and they wrapped our chocolates for a friend beautifully! This place has a special feel and we will be visiting often for a sweet treat for us and for gifts for friends."

"Everything was excellent from service waitress Gabriel) to hot delicious fresh rolls with butter pats that are somewhat warmed by the bread, to appetizer crab Louie great flavor) to a fresh wedge salad and outstanding crab cakes and stuffed salmon. It could not have been a better meal especially not knowing what to expect as first time diners. And there was no rush as customarily we Americans love to rush through dinner. The whole experience took over 90 minutes. I will be coming back monthly for sure. Thank you Backfin Blues and Gabriel for making this first experience a great one."
