"Was in Muirkirk and went into Top Dexter for breakfast. Excellent value at £11 for two of us for full breakfast plus mug of coffee and tea. The food was delicious and obviously good quality (not cheap breakfast items). The breakfast consisted of two rashers of thick bacon, sausage, sliced sausage, two hash browns, beans, fried egg, potato scone and two slices of toast excellent value and very tasty. The lady who served us was also very friendly. Will definitely return on my next hillwalking expedition to Muirkirk."

"Lovely spot for a late snack lunch. So nice to find somewhere with unique character. The apple and blackberry sponge took me right back to being in the kitchen with my Mum . Also had a great chat with a couple who were out cycling."
