"What a beautiful surprise this restaurant was. When you’re eating at a property outside of town you never know what you’re going to get, but this was a destination that I would have driven from St. Andrews to dine at. Funny story- we had eaten lunch at the Road Hole at the Old Course hotel in St. Andrews that day and we were really disappointed. They had accidentally given our lunch order away as room service so we didn’t get food until almost an hour after we were seated. And my salmon sandwich was as plain as plain could be. I had such high hopes for such a famous property, and the servers spent more time talking with each other than looking after guests. But then we get to Inn at Lathones Restaurant. The service here was impeccable- attentive but not overbearing. Every request was executed efficiently and immediately. Honestly, what I got here was what I was looking for at Road Hole. And the food at Lathones was divine. It was shocking to get such elevated presentation at what I thought was a humble inn. Humble my foot. It was the best food we had around St. Andrews. We count ourselves lucky to have stumbled into such a beautiful experience."

"Wow the Chai Tea and Chai Latte are excellent. Along with a little nibble of the wonderful chocolate made on the premises. We decided not to sit in as anxious to get on to the coastal path to walk, though would go back to eat as the food menu seemed good. We took our take away drinks and little chocolate rabbits to eat and drink en route to Anstruther. Absolutely lovely with the wonderful chocolate and the tastiest Chai drinks with all the spices coming through was decadent, along with the beautiful views along the Fife coast."

"As a self-defined doughnut officianado i must say that he caramel doughnuts here are the the best I have ever tasted. It's like a company has actually.listened to the customer and created a product that meets then exceeds customer expectation. They are damn fine doughnuts and I would come back to Fife just for them. I've also had the rhubarb and the apple tarts. Again, they are delightfully full to bursting with quality ingredients. I was in York last week and bought vakes from Betty's which just like York itself, we're picture perfect. The confections at Fisher Donaldson arn't delicate and fancy but what they lack in looks the sure as anything make up for in taste."

"Lovely sunny day and a wee trip through Anstruther brought us to this place. On offer were sandwiches, toasties, rolls n bacon etc. Some tables outside meant we could have a bite of lunch and our dog could sit with us. We arrived at a busy time: a large group had just left and we're replaced by lots of folk like us, all ordering at the same time. Two lovely young ladies seemed to be the only staff so we expected a long wait. Not so! Our toasties (with some crisps) and coke arrived fairly quickly and we're just what we were looking for. The added bonus was that this only cost ys £10! Advice avoid the hyped fish bars and head to this place esp if you simply want a quick, tasty wee bite."

"Central location is the best thing about rooms @29, plus it has a decent restaurant and a huge car park to the rear. Rooms were clean but nothing fancy, my bed was slightly squeaky which was a minor annoyances but I still had a good sleep."
