"Food: porchetta ravioli was piping hot, hearty, heavy tomato sauce, a ton of meat in the bolognese. Ravioli was flavorful. Portion was huge, and had a very 'home style ' look and taste. I had leftovers which I used later to make my own pasta. If you 're...looking for fancy or delicate pasta, I wouldn 't come here. Caramel budino was salty and i didn 't think to say anything. The menu didn 't say salted caramel, but i figured maybe that 's what the flavor was in reality it was just plain salty to me, and perhaps it was actually a mistake. The only good part about this was the whipped cream on top. Having had Bellinis at Cactus, the pear bellini I ordered here was not what I expected. It was a fruity drink though, not strong. Very drinkable. Service: friendly. Only issue had to ask for water since the bottles they use are so dark, it 's hard for them to see when the bottles are empty. Vibe: nice atmosphere and cozy. Sitting close to the door, you will get cold."

"One of a kind ambience in North Vancouver. Don't miss it! This place has an amazing vibe and there's really nothing else on the shore quite like it. Nestled down on 3rd, you can drive past it and not even realize this might be one of the most unique dining experiences here. The menu is fantastic and everything on our table was prepared amazingly. Everything from the starters to the main courses is put together thoughtfully and professionally. The whole restaurant looks well maintained and taken care of. Our server was friendly, courteous and knew every item on the menu well. We will be back. This place is a gem for sure. Dining up front under the skylights is pure magic."

"If your aim is to feed youngsters breakfast or lunch without crippling the budget, this is the place. The upholstery rips and wobbly tabletop demonstrated the restaurant has grown tired but the cheerful server had me onside. With smiles for everyone and eagerness to satisfy, she demonstrated proficiency as well. Kind of a change from those pretentious chain operations that dump their servers once they age beyond the early twenties.The menu could easily be the same one offered in the eighties. It was typical diner fare but that's OK, particularly if you like eggs, potatoes, bacon and sausages. The children enjoyed milkshakes and were happy with the limited choice. Had a nutella & salted caramel shake been offered, there would have been no takers among my group. Perhaps that explains the restaurant. It is not complicated food and it appeals to people who want uncomplicated food.The room is large and the restaurant looks over the plaza outside the City library. A bit of seating and an small water feature attracts pedestrian traffic and, while there is limited street parking, there is underground parking nearby."

"This place is amazing. A must visit for anyone that's in the area. The shop is clean, bright, and spacious. The people who run it are friendly, efficient, and passionate. After trying multiple samples I got a double scoop of Rocky Road and Apple Pie. Through I must say, the Apple Pie takes the ice cream cake. There is also candy for purchase; but don't miss out on ice cream made fresh that day, it's just too sweet a deal to miss out on. 10/10 Would ice cream again."

"I ordered a caramel macchiato with almond milk. The barista apologized that I wouldn't be getting a lot of foam because of the almond milk's texture - not a problem for me. I hate foam. She explained that macchiato means the drink should have lots of foam and advised that I get a "latte" instead. Lightbulb ON. What a helpful barista!"
