"My family and I decided to eat here because we've never tried it before. It has its ups and downs. I had the fettuccine Alfredo with chicken that was good just needed a little salt. My wife had fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp was the flavor was complicated. The pasta and sauce were good but unfortunately the shrimp was boiled but had no flavor. Her mother had spaghetti and meatballs that were good but the sauce wasn't exactly bursting with flavor. Our appetizers were garlic knots that had way more garlic than necessary and the inside was raw dough. We also had mozzarella sticks that were good but they use a universal marinara. I understand that there are a variety of diets out there but a little seasoning could go a long way."

"My friend researched restaurants to celebrate my birthday knew it had to be maine lobster. the background on this restaurant was perfect, but the reality was disappointing. my lobster roll was filled with salat, with lobster pieces on top. I get more lobsters from the lobster truck of the cousin, for half the price! the server was great. I hope the owners/partners take to know that this could be a great restaurant, but it needs some attention. it is wonderful to get maine lobster in asheville, but the small details can make a restaurant or break."

"Our expectations for this one were good and it was a nasty surprise what we found. As a local, we've always heard that this restaurant was good. however, we could say that this has been by far the worst dinning experience we have had in the last 4 years. The food was average good, the presentation for the dishes was very poor, honestly looked like the food was thrown in our plates without any consideration of how it should be presented. Flavors were ok, but we weren't impressed. Now, the worst part of the night was the service. Our server was not taking the time to properly serve us. He forgot TWICE about our order, we never asked about our drinks and when we asked for the wine to be our dishes companion, he FORGOT again. So, we ate cold, without wine and in a bad mood because of this experience. Off course, as we could expect, the prices for this food are not cheap. I won't say they are the more expensive ones, but it is above the average price for nice dinning in Asheville. As I mentioned before, we are local foodies. We like to go at least once a week to a new restaurant in town. Modesto is in our list of NOT visiting again."

"The best of the best I had on my short trip to asheville. our waiter (I think his name is graham) was sooo awesome! he knew exactly what he did was so friendly, and was really a perfect waiter overall. the food was so good. it was pretty packed, they sat down right below us and our food came out super fast. I'm just proud of this restaurant! highly recommended!"

"We went to chiesa on recommendation of a friend when we were in asheville, and we can't thank her enough! the restaurant feels like a cozy, neighboring bistro. the homemade pasta and sauces were really divine, and or server loves his job clearly. next time we'll go back to asheville."

"We had a reservation at 9pm but went in early to see if we could sit at the bar, we got in quickly and decided to eat at the bar. Our entire experience was nothing short of amazing from bar chat with other patrons, recommendations from staff and the food was *chefs kiss* I had the Tempura veggies for a starter, the Panisse for an entree, husband and I shared the Brussels and for his entree he has the NY strip. We had a couple of cocktails and for dessert, the vegan chocolate torte for myself and he had the carrot cake creme brûlée. Next time we are in Asheville this is a must stop!"
