"On a cold Winter’s afternoon, one needs a hot brew and a warm welcome. Whilst other establishments had closed their doors at 4, it was therefore a welcome sight to spy the steam rising from behind the counter at the Forum Café and a 5 pm curfew. Bright if a preponderance of a slightly garish green decor friendly and welcoming with a good selection of homemade cakes and savouries (even at ten pst four on a Friday) and a bewildering array of teas, coffees and other beverages, The Forum is a gem of a café in what is a sadly dog eared and slightly run down looking town. The carrot cake and lemon drizzle cake were both excellent. The loose leaf breakfast tea strong and hot. Highly recommended."
