"Was only on the campsite near. there were six nights for a drink and eat. big beer sad no bacardi but gin and tonikum was fine.good old fashion pub beautiful personal .big eating and very dog friendly. can't wait to come back. Many thanks."

"We decided to visit after passing many times. Had seen that the variety of drinks on offer was very good. Parked up on the car park at the side. A bit awkward turning in as we had a car close behind and had to shoot past to turn round and come back. As no street lights it’s hard to see in the dark. However got into the pub and then realised they did not take card. This restricted what we could order so drinks only. A great selection of cask ale, gin, bottled beers and cider on offer and the food menu was very reasonable in price and had a good selection. Was just sad they did not take card hence the rating as we did not get to experience the food which did smell good. The decor is traditional and some may say dated however the staff were friendly and welcoming. I understand that the pub was up for sale and recently been sold. As I did not know it before then all I can judge is now. All I would suggest is the ladies toilet need updating and locks adding to the doors. A family friendly pub and is obviously loved by the locals and a step back in time. However anyone visiting make sure you have cash on you otherwise it will be drinks only and a short visit."

"After a visit on the day before when we were breathing on the fantastic view of the sea, we decided to sit on Sunday. we were greeted by a really pleasant waiter and a table that looked over the bay. Just beautiful. we both hoped for a Sunday roast, but on hearing that the only available meat was pork, we chose the a la carte menu. I ordered the lamb pile, which served as with devoured spinat, dauphinoiskartoffeln, green beans and a rosemary hollandaise sauce. what arrived, were some very fat slices lamb that were drowned in a frothy hollandaise sauce without a hauch rosmarin. the dauphinoise kartoffels were in order, but there was a large amount of them compared to the part of the edible meat, so the overall taste of the plate quite bland. the spinach was soggy and left a large water pool on my teller. my partner ordered the bauchschwein, which was served as with cauliflower, speck and a black pudding bonbon. none of the staff was present on his teller when the court was served. we talked to the waiter who quickly returned the court to the kitchen and apologised it again and said that he forgot the black pudding and ran out of cauliflower. there was no mention of the specks. we ordered a part of the glazed carrots as accompaniment, but it is very fair to say that what arrived was some cut, boiled carrots. they tasted good, but it wasn't what was on the menu a common thema, it seems during this meal was advertised. as a shame as we had really been paying attention to our eating there, but it was very cut and overpriced. according to my opinion, the chef simply has not the labor in dishes that could have been amazing. can not blame the waiting staff or the inner, much potential, only one left off at the end."
