"Had a buffet for my Dad's 90th Birthday here yesterday. Freshly made and varied choice of food of good quality enjoyed by everyone. Thank you all at the Meg for helping us have a lovely time. We did know we would have a good time as the food here is excellent whenever we visit. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4"

"Not often i do this (write reviews) however, following our recent experience at the Greyhound Inn i felt compelled to do so . Booked in for dinner we were welcomed and hosted by Chris Clifford a genuine credit to the Greyhound team. We were seriously impressed by his diligence and professionalism, and that of the wider staff. Obviously experienced in his trade... but what impressed us most was how Chris lead by example and how the who team simply oozed customer care... great place, great food and superb service."

"We booked a table for Sunday dinner to tell the meat was lamb, explanation later. On foot in the pub we were greeted and greeted by the owner. The waitress, Clio, showed us on our table. It beaten that the pub was a small...Menu and today, Sunday, lunch was lamb; accompanied by carrots, cauliflower cheese, roasts and new potatoes, and Gravy. The meal was plentiful and tasty; this was at home cooking, not cooked from your off site and then brought to table food often brought you in large chains pubs. Take it from us if Carling did Sunday dinners they probably did not as beautiful as these. Again the desert was limited for choice, an almond flavored, jam sponge with custard (or ice cream, and probably not both if you so desired) or mint cake, again with a choice of topping. All rounded with coffee of choice. Now not to disappoint the Foxhounds in anyway, this is not your normal pub fare, this is more like invited to your parents or friends for lunch, just prepared. Our waitress was charming and could not do enough for us during our stay. The pub is located on Biddulph Moor enjoys a wonderful rural setting; sitting here on a summer day must be a pleasure. An additional incentive is probably the beer, as the owner proud of his beers and the top condition in which he held them. I can confirm that his wines are also beautiful. This was our first visit to the Foxhounds, but as Arnold Schwarzenegger said: “We will come back!”"
