"My friend and I ordered the Walleye. I had good memories of a "Walleye" dish last year. It DID NOT live up to expectations. When we complained that we did not like the sauce, the very vinegarry zucchini, the pickles, the server told us they'd changed the recipe and we got what we'd ordered. It didn't explain the amount of vinegar in the zucchini. My friend ordered bread (to help sop up the vinegar and sauce) and was charged an extra dollar for it. With a $26 order, I'd expect MUCH, MUCH more (in quality quantity of both food and service).I'd like to recommend this restaurant but find I just CAN'T, I'm afraid."

"Great experience. Our server Hanna was knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating. Two in our party have Celiac and had no problems. 2 GF Pasta dishes were absolutely delicious. The menu is clear to understand, with a few gf substitutions available, many elements to choose from. The pizza is on a cauliflower crust with toppings that have been tested as gluten-free. I would recommend super, based on service, taste and options."

"Friendly staff greet you in this lovely sushi place just off Broadway Avenue. They have an excellent, but not overwhelming selection of food, including some of the tastiest vegetarian rolls I've had. They also have cider on the menu as a drink option. I'll be back."

"Met a friend for lunch at Famoso because of its convenience to her work location. It was a Friday at noon, and surprisingly not too busy, which was nice, as we had great service, the food came our really quickly (perfect when you need to get back to the office) and we didn't feel rushed to have to leave and give someone else our table.Quite a mix of clientele, from families with younger kids to business people.We both enjoyed the lunch special, which has several options for around $12. Mine was the Sofia Loren sandwich (a vegetarian option), which was good. Could have had a little more flavour, though. There are ways to jazz up vegetables a little bit. And as always, I upgraded the salad with their caprese salad (a favourite of mine) for a couple bucks more. But it, too, seemed a little plain that day. Maybe I should have asked for the pesto on it.All in all, it was a decent lunch for a reasonable price, and they're obviously aware that people need to get back to work and don't make you wait long."

"The concept of bistro restaurants is not quite common in NA, compared to Europe. bistro is a Russian word for fast , and that, I think, makes the idea of The Village Bistro crystal clear. It 's simple, it 's quick, relatively cheap, but also sooo good."

"A really cool restaurant with eating for everyone. large cauliflower tacos, loved the bowl of the roasted mild paprika. rice and buzzing were great. very happy to change their menu to make it vegan. also the Kombeercha potion was delish."
