"Not finding many restaurants open on New Years Day we were delighted to discover La Tenaza open and ready for the crowds. There is a wide variety of mouth watering delights to find on their menu as well as a full bar. The staff is helpful, fun and offer you service with a smile. If you get a chance to be on the second floor grab a table for a great view of the lovely waters off Mazatlans coast. Price is fair and the music is great."

"A must see for anyone traveling to mazatlan. Octopus, Keith's papas and chicken and capers with creamy rice was all big hits. Service was a bit shaky but still got the job done. Can't wait to go back"

"This is a wonderful romantic restaurant with excellent cuisine. Definitely should make everyone's list when visiting Mazatlan. However, do expect the service to be a bit slow but the ambiance makes that not an issue."

"We have stopped in here many times, once for breakfast, a few times just for drinks, great Margarita's, and a few times for lunch. Very nice owner and employee's. They go out of their way to help you, and their English is pretty good. Their bathrooms are clean and they have showers if you need to rinse off after a swim in the Ocean. Look for the place with the Sandbags out front."

"Lola was out waitress. Great service and view right on malecon. The spaghetti was the best I've ever had anywhere. Chef is from Italy and it shows. We had lasagna as well and that was perfect. They served with some sort of bread stuffed with olives. Very unique and went well with our dinner. Highly recommend."

"You probably will not like the looks of the place and you won't like the bathroom, but order the oysters anyway and you'll fall in love with Mariscos Tono. There is only one place I have ever had oysters as fresh and delicious and that was at the world famous Oyster Bar in Grand Central Station and frankly I think the ones at Mariscos Tono may have been better. It has an extensive seafood menu and excellent service. This is an absolutely no frills place with some of the best and least expensive seafood in Mazatlan. I'm still in shock, but I'll be back."
