"Altfriedland is a very beautiful and quiet place to visit relaxed, interesting places, such as the church, the long house or the monastery ruins. It also fits if you let it go culinary well. You can do that very well in the monastery pots. You should check the opening hours before, as not always open here."

"Behind the rest of the old cistercian monastery in altfriedland (45 east of berlin, 40 km northwest of Frankfurt/O) stands the gastronomic construction of the “Klosterschänke”. how the view of other portals shows, the restaurant already exists longer. However, the management seems to have changed, because chefin received each guest with a hunter chat shop in a glassekunde and told what about a new opening. a bit problematic is parking. only a few parking spaces are available on the grounds, in the village itself there is no parking space. they can sit in front of the restaurant with a not so beautiful view of the monastery ruins and a beautiful view of the monastery lake or in the house. the flat theken room is only too small. additionally take numerous vitrines additionally space. the upper dining room on the gallery is spacious and bright. From here you can also see the church of the monastery, the ruins of the monastery and the lake. interesting is the ceiling construction. in this part of the house, however, it seems very warm to store. the toilets are located opposite the house in a separate building. in the offer are diners and drinks as well as coffee and cake. I was just there at the coffee time and decided to buy 1 piece of cheesecake and a pot coffee (total 4,50 €uro). the clumsy and somewhat clumsy service I owe to the opening day. the coffee was very good and very strong, the torte (home baked as all the tortes as I was insured) was delicious. Conclusion: beautifully located restaurant. I have to eat again, coffee and cake are worth the visit. despite the un overlooked service problems this day included 4 stars new opening bonuses."
