"We had a booking for midday last Friday and arrived to find the place cold and miserable. we were mostly ignored and finally sitting in the big plastic jam. the tables were grubby, the floor is worse. the single heating was not on and the room was. positiw ark. to this wonderful ambiente were added the budding empty milk boxes, boxes and restaurant ephemera around us. I had to go through more restaurant junk and ask if a menu was available and a single plastic coated sheet was reluctantly pointed to me that I could take. I took it back to the table where we discovered the usual 5 dinge that are offered in any other caffe in canberra. we decided not to stay. the manager and the personal must stand back and have a good look at how their grubby and badly presented caffe look for all others. presentation, cleanliness and service need some work. we were for a birthday lunch look. we didn't find it here."

"The Transit Bar is situated next to the YHA and close to the Casino. I am presuming it takes its name from the fact that outside its entrance is where the Airport Bus collects passengers. The Bar itself is below ground and can on initial examination look somewhat dark and dreary with its limited lighting. However this is a misnomer, as the lighting and seating lends itself to quiet reflection, reading and meeting with friends. There is also a small (one) pool table area if you are so inclined.The bar's speciality is its Lunch-time Special of 'Pizza & Soft Drink' for $10, which is good value for money in this rather expensive city.It also provides a variety of different beers from around Australia including:The Naz Scotch Ale (Victoria)Little Creatures Dog Days (Victoria)Pacer Light Ale (Queensland)Super Fly Rye IPA (Victoria)Prancing Pony Sunshine Ale (South Australia)Mt. Tennent Pale Ale (ACT)My initial visit was around 1600 hours and the place was very quiet with just a few customers. By 1700 hours both the downstairs bar and upstairs outdoor seating was well patronised with many locals enjoying the street outdoor area with its tree shaded area and view of the comings and goings of travelers and workers. The staff were all friendly and the beer cold and refreshing. Recommended if you are looking for a quiet ale and a delicious pizza."

"We have been coming here for many many years and without a doubt this is our favourite restaurant in town. The food is always excellent and Gavin and the staff are always so polite and welcoming. We tend to order the same dishes every time as our family all have our own favorites and it is always delicious."

"Order chole naan by their website online . no domes given. contacted tikka take them directly to home. No one reacts. E-mail/arrange and place them online contact us form. no answer. to add the review -naan was nothing like naan. it was more like...papad .(they add old yeast? . so before the business closed by the food sept in the august, tikka eating always gave a bauche pain; especially the naans. that was the first time we decided to try after the opening, but nothing has changed."

"Shannon and his team are fantastic when it comes to support when I am catering a corporate event. There are wide variety of options, which make things much easier when catering these days as people having so many food preferences. I know if there are any last minute issues, I can rely on him and his team to add extra sandwiches or utensil if I have forgotten something. I am confident when I recommend City Edge to others."

"I absolutely loved it here, the staff were friendly, especially Daniel Zivkovich, one of the owners. I asked about one of the hot sauces on display and he very helpfully explained the background, and ingredients, tastes and info. He told me all about how it was made, and about Unscripted Fermentation, who ferments the chillies and other ingredients. I then bought some of the hot sauce (Pucker Punch) and moved on to ordering. I ordered a smaller Chai Latte, a piece of Salted Vanilla loaf, and a grilled cheese sandwich for lunch. All of the food was exquisite, the best lunch I’ve had in a long time. The other staff was very nice as well, I had some good convos about food with them. I highly recommend coming to Barrio, my favourite place in Australia. I recommend getting the toastie specifically, though I have gone back multiple times since my first visit, and also really enjoyed the Golden Curry, though I’m not sure if it’s still on the menu. Hope to see you there, and hope you enjoy it!"
