"I have heard such great things about Cafe Sparrow that I might have had too high of expectations. It was good, but not great the atmosphere was not warm. The crab cakes were not good, but the filet mignon was outstanding. For the price, there are other restaurants I would prefer."

"I think I had tried just about every sizzling rice soup in town, trying to find one that tasted similar to the former best (China Szechwan that closed down years ago, now Hula's downtown). I didn't even know this place existed until somebody on NextDoor mentioned it, so we gave it a try and I had low hopes for my beloved sizzling rice soup, but this one is IT!!! Sooooo so good!! My husband was equally pleased with his Wonton soup and Hot Sour soup. We will DEFINITELY be returning for the soups on a frequent basis. The operation is very small and was busier than usual with take-out orders, but Andrew was friendly and literally RAN our order out to our car once ready. Everything was piping hot and all requests/accommodations and sides/sauces were accounted for. 100% recommend this place for authentic soups! You will not be disappointed."

"Good Indian food? (for USA! Firstly we have lived in the UK (which had exceptional Indian food IMO so like to think we know good Indian food ?. Maybe others will disagree? Generally we have found Indian restaurants in the USA have been pretty low quality (sorry but this was better than average was totally fine, just not amazing? The bhindi okra dish was the standout winner, onion bahjis and dahl and rogan josh were all good too. Not particularly cheap, but that?s California I guess!"

"Restaurant Nightmare I went to Cantine wine bar yesterday to have a couple celebratory bday drinks and purchase some bottles to go. I 've been a loyal customer until yesterday when the waitress forgot to run my card. Instead of notifying me, she called the local sushi restaurants around town notifying them that a brown haired girl who 's having a joint bday with her partner didn 't pay their bill. Sushi garden in capitola would not serve us bc of this description so I called Cantine to understand what occurred and let them know I 'd come back to pay the bill right away. She told me if I didn 't pay over the phone, she 'd call the police. Given that she didn 't run the card the first time, I didn 't trust running it over the phone and wanted proof of physical receipt. Long story short, it took a multiple request in person to just pay my bill for proof of receipt after they admitted the mistake. It was an absolute humiliating and unnecessary experience, and a birthday I 'll never forget."
