"The ONLY bad part of our visit is that they were out of the lobster dip ! Other than that, the food and service were very good. Live music was very enjoyable and not so loud that it affected our conversation. Nice place. Reasonable prices. Great beer selection."

"So we went on a boat trip, a group of thirteen people. Some of us from USA and rest are from Toronto. Food quality is poor comparatively to what they promote. One of us had different opinion about what he ordered, regardless of right or wrong the way the staff handled the situation was very bad. There were one or two tables occupied when we went inside. Seems like it's a owner operated restaurant, owner/manager was the cook who prepared our food . This place needs a lot more attention to food , taste, and customer service."

"First visit today. I was a big fan of The Socialist Pig, but I have to say the food at Laverne's is even better (and more creative) than it was at TSP, and it was darn good there! Chef Ray in all his glory has been unleashed on Eastern Ontario. It's well worth our 30-minute drive from Wellesley Island. My wife and I look forward to many happy return visits!"

"We attempt to visit Gananoque annually and look forward to visiting Riva as part of our getaway. Our visit this year was an early dinner prior to our attending a production at the 1000 Island playhouse. Riva continues to provide a most memorable dining experience. At this visit, we ordered a crusted salmon and a linguini prawn dish. Both were outstanding! The service and staff were excellent. We enjoyed a wonderful dinner without being rushed and had plenty of time to walk to the playhouse for the evening presentation. We have visited Riva on previous occasions and find it remains an idea restaurant for a special dining experience. Highly recommended."

"We had dinner there and the food was excellent! The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was perfect. From the old style architecture to the music that was playing, everything was in perfect sync. If you are in gan anytime soon, this is a must. The two gentlemen that own this place take great pride and it shows in every aspect of this place. Well done, we will be back.
