"I ordered the Vegan Udon Set with Tempura Vegetables. The meal was filling and came with a lot of veggies. We chose to sit in the traditional tatami mat area of the restaurant which gave the experience a more authentic feel. However, they do ask to not take pictures with other customers in them."

"While the portions are quite small, everything is vegan and gluten free. The space is beautiful, overlooking the river. Also the adorable sakura chan shiba is there! I recommend the latte with the cute dog art on top, and the pizzas are small but very tasty"

"Travelling solo as a vegetarian and found this Michelin guide vegan restaurant. You could book through their website. As this week is the Golden week (28 April to 6 May), it might be the reason why some days are fully booked. Standard menu for me at 3,000 Yen for one person. Comes with hot Japanese tea and you could add on sake or beer. Delicate in the variety of flavors in pickled vegetables, soy and root vegetables. You would need to pay additional 500 Yen to get into the Tenruji temple gardens before you can access the restaurant in an obscure corner next to the main hall and the pond. Pleasant experience. You can pay another 300 Yen to see the world heritage site Tenruji temple’s signature dragon painting (which I did not view). Exit the garden at the north gate to have quick access to the bamboo grove."

"Otera house is a great vegan restaurant, I loved my meals here! the lunch packages are really delicious, fresh and healthy. the lunch package was 1000, 1200 with a drink or 600 for a take box. it is close to busy shopping areas, but feels so peaceful and quiet. updated by the previous review on 2021-06-03"

"This specialty restaurant and yuba shop is one-two blocks north of Shijo dori near the Nishiki market. It has an English menu with one vegan set meal (2400 yen). The hot pot has a generous portion of yuba, greens and mushrooms. It’s served with rice and tea; a small glass of house made soy milk is the last course. the friendly and efficient waitstaff used a translation app to inquire about food allergies and identify the condiments. The restaurant atmosphere is calm and tranquil and if you’re lucky, you’ll get the table overlooking the interior garden. We arrived around 12:00pm and were seated immediately. But the restaurant is small, so I’m sure waiting for a table or making a reservation for peak hours or on holidays might be necessary."

"13:00に予約で伺いました。コースは3種類。ランチはう雑炊のみがあるので、お宿で夕食がありましたから、そちらを注文しました。 先にお抹茶と和三盆の砂糖菓子が出ます。注文してからうなぎを捌くのかな。と思ったら意外に早く来ました。2人前が一つの土鍋できます。ご飯はたっぷり。お米はとても美味しいです。うなぎはほんの少しですね（笑） お出汁がよく、味がとても美味しかったです。"
