"Bodega is on Trounce Alley and is right next to another tapas joint. The problem is that the other tapas bar web site was not working right so Bodega became our choice by default. This turned out to be our most memorable meal in Victoria. We started with Garlic Prawns which were perfectly cooked and swimming in amazing garlic butter. We tried to figure out how to take the garlic butter with us but the amazing tasty bread worked it out for us. Lentils, kale, mushrooms, chorizo and sherry vinegar were another delightful and healthy taste. We enjoyed their Marinated Eggplant Salad with goat cheese. Again, getting our vegetables on vacation was made possible. The Cerdo Con Atun which was pork shoulder wrapped around greens with a tuna aioli and caperberries. Everything was great but the tuna aioli was the most impressive element and something we have never tasted before. What would tapas be without Patates Bravas? This was a great version and was probably put us over the top for just a little too much food! Nicely crispy potatoes are always the keyWe were very impressed with Bodega. It was our favourite meal from this visit to V.I. Our server was so friendly and efficient (and she laughed at my jokes).!"

"Ordered Louisiana soup little spicy just right , 6 oz angus steak and lots of mushrooms , fries nicely non greasy . Family run met nice lady owner . Would return for sure. Cheers, St. Catharines, Ont"

"Was here for a beer an a lunch with a friend last week. He had the usual Shepherds Pie and I tried a prawn salad which was new on the menu. Shepherds Pie is unchanged but I still think the portion could be bigger for the money. My salad was very tasty bordering on gastropub quality but for the price, the quantity was pretty small. Not for the Hungry. Still have a great selection of beer plus the usual others. Nice English pub atmosphere. If you are hungry, check with the server but this place seems to be moving a little more into the gastropub model."

"I heard that the new Whole Foods was open so my boyfriend and I decided to finally check it out. We did a walk around the whole store and it was very impressive - quite clean and great looking displays. They had a lot of interesting brands that you don't see in many of the grocery stores in Victoria and a really impressive selection of cheeses. Some of the grab and go items were incredibly expensive (for $8 I can spiralize my own zucchini) and other items were the same price as many other grocery stores around here. OK a lot of the items were incredibly expensive but we were expecting that as we'd been to Whole Foods in Vancouver before. We didn't buy much as we basically went to look around and see what it had to offer. Didn't talk to any of the staff so can't comment on the service. The store was laid out nicely and worth looking around. Also, the Thai green coconut curry hummus is very tasty. Not sure why Whole Foods is in the restaurant section here as it is a grocery store but I guess you can order food inside as well as grocery shop."
