"A friend and I went to this Smitty 's for a bite to eat after a day of shopping. We were shown to 2 or 3 tables but another server kept saying oh that table hasn 't been cleaned yet . We finally were shown to a table...that had been cleaned closest to the kitchen, probably so the server wouldn 't have to walk so far. There were several servers at the restaurant, but the only one my friend and I had a problem with was ours. She kept talking, very loudly and about topics that we weren 't interested in. Like the medical problems of one of her co workers (Sarah) (she actually named her co worker). About how another Smitty 's in Southern Manitoba had closed because one of the staff was asymptomatic with Covid 19 and how the bacon in this restaurant was too salty for her taste. We didn 't ask her what she preferred. At one point, this woman (Carrie) actually eavesdropped on a comment my friend made and put her 2 cents worth in. Perhaps if she talked and eavesdropped less and cleaned more tables, we wouldn 't have to be shown to 2 or 3 tables before we were seated. The food was very good but Carrie needs some serious training and/or verbal reprimands."

"The food at Jade Chopstix never dissapoints. It's always good everytime I go. I would highly recommend the Butter Chicken and the fried rice. The deep fried squid is good too and also the satay beef hot plate is a must! Never a bad time at this place. Very highly recommended!"

"The Roblin Grill is a new restaurant located in a strip mall at the western end of Charleswood. The restaurant is quite spacious, with solid wooden tables and sturdy wooden chairs. The decor is light and airy. The menu concentrates on burgers and hot dogs, but with many innovative touches and funky themes. In addition to burgers and hot dogs, the menu includes salads, wonderful french fries, onion rings, and staples such as nachos, chill bowl and mac & cheese. The service was friendly and accommodating. We tried the BEST burger and the Philly Cheese Steak. The burger was of medium size but with great flavour. The Philly Cheese Steak was fabulous! The Roblin Grill is licensed for beer and wine. The wine selection is spartan, but the beer selection was quite good, with emphasis on specialty imported beer and craft beers. Also, there are good kids selections in the menu. The restaurant is very busy at lunchtime, and offers take-out service. The Roblin Grill has a special flair with its funky approach to basic dining."

"We went for dinner at this lovely cozy little restaurant with another couple and were seated at the front window table. The restaurant has a garage-front door, which opens up to a giant screened area onto Corydon - it gives you all the atmosphere of being outside but without having to worry about the elements (or future mosquitoes.) The service was wonderful and very attentive, the plates were all a good size and the prices were reasonable. They have main courses, but you can also order in tapas style, which is what we decided to do. We especially loved the prawn dish and the bacon wrapped jalapeños, and the kale salad was made with Tuscan kale which is a tastier, gentler kind of kale. We also ordered their grilled cheese specialty and split it 4 ways. It was delicious and their fries were really good. They have live music on Thursday nights with a talented and very enjoyable musician (Joel Waldie), who took our requests and kept us entertained during the evening. They were setting up a small patio area as we were finishing off our dinner with shared desserts - a triple chocolate cake (to die for if you are a chocolate lover) and a cheesecake with raspberry coulis that was also very, very tasty. They have a small, but well chosen wine list that enhances the food they serve. This place is on "the other" side of Corydon, but is well worth crossing the street for. We had a fabulous evening and I would gladly return."
