"I?ve been coming here since the early 2000s. This is a casual, family-owned and operated vineyard with a glorious pond and beautiful surroundings. The wine is good, but the down-to-earth authenticity and unpretentiousness are unmatched. I come here torelax. There are more elegant and upscale vineyards on the trail, but Pugliese is my go-to spot."

"We thoroughly enjoyed this winery. The people serving and running it were knowledgeable and personable. David was exceptional. On top of a beautiful environment, the wines that we tasted, and there were many, were all delicious. We ultimately bought a case of mixed white and red. The food was delicious. This was absolutely a lovely experience. I was there with my two grown daughters and my grandchild. We had come from having the complete opposite experience at another “well known” place. If you want wonderful interesting wine in a lovely environment with nice hosts….this is your place. Be careful, it was hard to decide what to bring home. We didn’t taste one glass that wasn’t delicious."

"Castello di Borghese does one thing extremely well, and that is hire wonderful and friendly people. The hosts who helped us were knowledgeable about the wine, attentive, and just nice to converse with. The wine is good. Not the best, not bad, but good. Only the rosé really stood out as wine that separated itself from the pack. The only thing that my wife and I thought could use some work, and maybe some noise dampening, is the giant open space that houses the winery tasting room. It was bright and airy, but it wasn't unique or inviting like many of the other wineries in NOFO. Overall, we had a good time and I would definitely recommend a visit."

"I had the $40 Lobster Roll (Market Price) which was a generous serving of lobster and came with amazing fries and on a perfectly toasted and buttery roll. There was some seasoning on the lobster and I would have preferred it with just butter but this is something that I'd been craving for a while, so I left happy. My friend got the lobster bake which for $20 was an entire lobster, so I definitely felt like my roll was a bit overpriced, but alas it was what I was craving. Not the best lobster roll I've had but it hit the spot. Tip: There is a farm stand across the street that has the most amazing homemade ice cream for $4. If the freezer is empty make sure to ask if they have any in the back."

"Great wine, beautiful vineyard with plenty of space to sit out and enjoy a sunny day! They were a little strange to give us water when we were asked, but they gave us something. No explanation, but again the wine was great! Our group fave after trying a few was the Pinot Gris. Very nice staff!"
