"By far one of the best breakfasts we have eaten near capetown and hermanus. It is stunningly delicious and after delivery to our table we were breathless. Fantastic, delicious, right at the point. "We booked for the wine pairing. Expect the usual 5 wines with a piece of food to accompany it. However, we had booked for a discovery menu that had paired wine with it. After the first adjustment, we chose the experience. Although the price is available for the entire menu, you can also choose “Chapter” in the menu and pay for it individually. That was a nice note and is appreciated. The interior of the restaurant is amazing, but what made this an unforgettable experience was the service. Although there were many waiters, the area was not crowded. We had two waiters Artwell and Therodora (unsafe about spelling) who supported us. Items used were removed from the table in a quiet and fast manner. Information about the food was short and precise. The differentiating factor was the way in which waiters were engaged. When they needed a product that someone else used, they stood and waited for it to become available. They didn't fight for something and the energy of the room was a good one."

"The views from the deck of La Vierge are breath-taking. You can literally see Hemel en Aarde and the sea in the distance. It's beautiful. Their platters also looked exceptional. (We didn’t order one as we just had breakfast in town. <br/ <br/ Sadly, the wine didn't suit our palettes, which was a bit of a disappointment. But seeing that wine tasting is something entirely subjective, I'm still giving them a 4 star review. Our sommelier was very knowledgeable about the wines and we still had an enjoyable experience. That view really is worth it."

"South African pizza is usually thin crust, and that was a great example that made it good. Toppings were generous, the base tasty with large structure, and there was not too much cheese. We had take, and the service when picking up was really friendly. Even better we were given small pots of fresh garlic, chilli and some salad dressing to add our pizza and salad. Very recommended if you are in the area. We will definitely go back next time we're in Hermanus."

"Sweet little bakery with delicious coffee and tea! When you enter, you will notice that the place is incredibly secret, you will be greeted by the smell of freshly baled goods and treats. The decor is beautiful and warm. There is a large table in the middle of the place filled with many treats. Service is friendly and attentive. Value for money is excellent. I love this place for what it doesn't change."

"What a brilliant experience we had!!! Saturdays are for the Hermanuspietersfontein market, they have large local suppliers of cheese, cold meat, olives, fresh seafood such as pearls and alikruk and many great snacks. The best, Saturdays are free when you make wine tasting. Their wines are all delicious and have fascinating names. Friendly staff and knowledgeable. Had too much wine, but an absolutely big day."
