"Have had two great lunches on the terrace in Sept. The food was very good and the terrace was quiet and a pretty place to eat. The chowder was exceptional and the lobster croissant and the fries were well above average. Have not eaten dinner there but expect to go soon. There is a nice indoor area with a fireplace that should be cozy now that fall is here."

"Friday night dinner and place was packed. Only 2 waitresses and a bartender. Very small place but on waterfront. They asked if we had reservations. We are traveling so no we didn't. No one in line did either so some people left. Food was good. The seafood linguine was good And the seafood stew was as well but not the best we have had in this trip. Waitress forgot our second drink order. She was apologetic and severely overworked and very nice. Places that want or require reservations need to post that on their websites. Saves everyone a problem. Even though we got a table after about a 10 minute wait, I feel that needs to be disclosed BEFORE an unsuspecting traveler chooses a place to spend their evening.Parking: Parking on street is free after 6pm. Meter paid before."

"I don't eat out often but I do treat myself to avocado melt sandwiches when I'm the area. I have tried the others but love my avocado. If your looking for a tasty sandwich with chips or carrot sticks this is your place if your looking for a sit down lunch keep going as they do have some seating outside and now in so you can sit here and eat in good weather but it's not really a sit in restaurant in Mahone Bay. I love the bread and buy it often you won't be disappointed. Great place, great atmosphere and wouldn't change a thing"

"First of all, I would like to say that I fully appreciate the impact of the pandemic on restaurants. That is, the posters that claim that there is a "working shortage" are only bad practice. If we had noticed that we had left before the order. We were quite hungry from driving on our road trip and wanted a decent sit down menu and found quite good reviews for this place. At the order it was immediately clear why there was a "work shortage" for this owner. The person who made our order at the counter (no table service currently) was the surlyst old falcon I have ever met. If I hadn't been so slow and didn't have to wait another hour until one of the other restaurants would open, I would have gone right away. She was crocheted and seemed generally angry to do any work in her own institution. It's really bad because the food here was pretty good, but we couldn't stop how terrible a person this owner was. When one and only employee came out to ask us how our meal was, we had to ask if this lady was the owner and what her problem was. We told her that we were surprised that someone would lead her business and agreed to her by shaking her head, but almost afraid to say something. I really regret coming here and would recommend not only the terrible attitude of the owner and the very obviously terrible working conditions for the employees working here."
