"Had a very mediocre experience with Baba Louie's. We ordered takeout during a busy time over President's Day weekend. We knew it would take a while and were told to pick up 1 hr 15 minutes after ordering. Sure, no problem, that is why we called early. Upon arrival we were handed the pizzas out of their warming unit at the front. We ordered the pasta special and were told it would be out momentarily. We were parked with hazards on in a no parking zone down the block parking in this downtown area is tricky on a busy evening and this remained a stress during the whole visit. Short story we waited over 30 minutes for that pasta and there is no way it was even started by the time we arrived. Having worked in restaurants, that dish should have been super expedited. And while an apology was issued upon final delivery, it definitely should have been offered to remove a charge or provide a discount on future order.One related thing to note is that they use a timed ticketing system to submit takeout orders to the kitchen. I.e. they hold tickets back until a specific time when they submit them to the kitchen. They make this visible at the front of the restaurant and are sure to tell any patrons who arrive early for their order that they are too early to pick up (I had 30 minutes to witness and study this! . They would be well served to review this system and try to improve going forward as I believe it was part of the breakdown in our case.To make matters worse, the food wasn't very good. The cold pizza lacked flavor and the sourdough crust was a distraction rather than a positive part of the flavor profile. The pasta special we waited for was also flavorless and the chicken had been re heated like they do at Chili's.Our friends who recommended it agreed it was the last time they will order, and future pizza takeout will be from one of the many other local options.On the positive side, while we did not experience eating onsite, the space is cute with full bar and everyone seemed to be having a good time. The downtown location is also excellent (once parked with lots of shops, dessert and coffee/boozy options nearby. 3 stars instead of 2 for those reasons."

"I stopped for a take out salad which was excellent. Spinach w grilled chicken. I tried both the brown ale and the stout really good stuff. Brought one of each home for my girlfriend who also enjoyed (at least the stout, so far. The service from the bartender was outstanding as well. Highly recommend.!!"
